With the world climate is changing, we envisioned that future homes to
be a self sustaining dwelling with adaptability to the environment while
maintaining the aesthetic value of a home.
Global warming and sea water rising are among the climate issues we
are facing and should be considered in designing our future homes.
The design of this future concept home merely a juxtaposition of flat site
and angled floor plans with careful considerations of the environment in
creating a sustainable living place.
With the plot size of 20’ x 70’ and sets anywhere in Malaysia, we are
building not just a terrace house, but a home with spaces that adaptable
to climate change.
The design objective :
A house design with people in mind with
flexibility, comfort, access and safety that
accomodates the occupants changing
needs.
• the homes that provides internal environment
that visually and aesthetically comfortable
• the home is universally comfortable for a
diverse range of people with different stages
of their lives.
• a communal garden contributes to an
improved community identity by enhancing
the urban fabric of the neighborhood and
promoting community interaction through
design
• An economical sustainable home is more
cost-efficient over time. The smart home
design is using low maintenance materials
and appliances with higher star ratings to
reduce cost consumptions
• using alternative energy sources (e.g
solar and rain water) and energy efficiency
appliances.
• effective passive design that reduces the
need of artificial lighting and climate control.
• the layout and arrangment of the building
works to minimise the costs to the community
such as transport costs and carbon footprint.
• An environmental sustainable home
minimise the impact on the environment by
incorporating features such as rainwater
harvesting tank, passive solar design and
rooftop garden
• All the general washing areas, toilets will
be equipped with water efficient fittings to
reduce potable water consumption. All toilet’s
Water closet shall be dual flush system with
3 ticks rated as water efficiency type.
• A house that utilized environmentally
friendly products during its construction
such as recycle content steel bar and green
cements to reduce negative impact towards
the environment during their manufacturing
process.
