Here are some of the courses I have taken: Urban Geography / Land Use Planning / Urban Ecological Economics / Urban Sustainable

Throughout my graduate studies, I have focused on empathetic design to understand different people's situations and create flexible and diverse spaces. I paid close attention to minorities and inequalities in society, which I believe is crucial for architects to address. As part of my studies, I participated in exhibition design in Taubman’s Public Design Cooperation Project, where our team worked alongside the Jazz and Gender Justice Institute at Berklee College of Music to build a multi-disciplinary exploration that reimagines the shape and sound of jazz through the lens of gender equity. Additionally, I worked on a Morenci open pit mine remediation project that reimagined a sustainable future for abandoned mining resources. I learned how to collect the complex information including policy, ecology, technology, history and integrate them into a dynamic, related actor-network to raise up the design proposal. As an architect with strong empathy for others, I believe that caring and love should be at the core of every design project. I am committed to reimagining a future that breaks existing constrictions and provides a sustainable balance between humans, the economy, and society.

The project located in Detroit was aimed to build a civic wholesale market and make a fun. “Rock N’ Fun” tried to combine the rock wholesale and multiple rock experiences together, where guests could purchase for colorful rocks, participate in stone workshops, attend other various functions in bubble room. The project intended to build a relax and fun vibe for guests living in the city escape from their busy lives. To neutralize the hard and stiff impressions of rock, the stones are sorted into multiple colors, while plants and bubbles create a much relax vibe.
