The School of Architecture, in the College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts,
at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), is proud to announce the Douglas
A. Garofalo Fellowship search for the 2015–2016 academic year. Named in honor
of architect and educator Doug Garofalo (1958–2011), this nine-month teaching
fellowship provides emerging designers the opportunity to teach studio and
seminar courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs and conduct
independent design research. The fellowship also includes a public lecture and
exhibition in the spring.
Applications are due Friday, January 30, 2015. The University of Illinois is an AA/EOE. Applications from

Mr. Garofalo was a great man. I had the pleasure of getting him to critique one of my undergrad projects at UIC (my freshman year, actually) and his words were those that stick with you. Something about the way he talked was just different from every other professor/critique I've ever encountered.
