Downtown Eugene has an issue- at .2 dwelling
units per acre, it has a lower housing density
than some rural communities in Oregon.
The city is looking to solve this through a new
program incentivizing developers to build more
housing . Our studio piloted the program by
determining what is possible within the context
of downtown.
I’ve created an apartment complex over a
restaurant and grocery store, adding an exciting
place to live downtown, but also a welcoming
and intriguing place that revitalizes the
downtown experience.
