Aspiring architect seeking entry-level experience with dynamic and highly-acclaimed firm.
Having completed degrees in both Physics and the Fine Arts, I feel I bring a unique perspective which seeks to advance the discipline through its multiple and often complementary rubrics. Graduate studio, supplemented with technology seminars and theory offerings, has exposed me to many advanced design approaches (from the structural to the projective; the historical to the political), as well as equipped me with a propensity for identifying conceptual deficiencies.
A common theme, connecting past experience, studio work and publications, has been a deep inquiry into how architecture embraces and rejects typicality, locating the contemporary project within strategies for differentiating and innovating upon Modernist templates. Thus, finding a practice that values the influence of technology and design constraints, along with a clear commitment to architectural history and theory, has become a top priority when searching for permanent employment.
My software knowledge ranges from documentation platforms such as AutoCAD, to modeling and fabrication programs such as Rhino, 3D Studio Max, MasterCAM, and Digital Project. In addition to studio presentations, I have a strong amount of publication experience using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
Through positions held in diverse environments, such as field construction, disabled learning centers, and Level A chemical labs, I have encountered a wide range of projects and professional situations; from the purely speculative, to the discursive and the practical. It is for the opportunity to develop projects across several platforms simultaneously which peaks my interest for professional experience at the entry-level.
