I obtained my Master’s degree from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). During my years at SCI-Arc, I have learned to critically think about the work we produce. Paying attention to not only the aesthetics of a project but also the political implications of our decisions. I feel as though SCI-Arc has taught me the essentials of what it’s like in the real world. Upon graduating, I was hired at LR Architecture and quickly understood how a typical architecture firm functions. Here I was able to apply my education to help the firm with design work. While at LR Architecture I took on private clients as a freelance architect and developed several ADUs.
In addition to my studies at SCI-Arc, I feel my office experiences and Bachelor’s degree in Business Management can benefit me in many ways. Before my education at SCI-Arc I worked at Entertainment Partners and over the years had several job titles. I not only managed several high-profile clients’ payroll but also learned what true customer service means. Putting the client’s needs first always meant a good relation and ultimately a happy work environment. I not only understand and practice basic office etiquette, I also work well with others and respect the office’s mission.
