My architectural story begins after moving to United States at the age of nine. Compared to the old Soviet architecture in Central Asian cities like Bishkek, Almaty and Tashkent, everything was remarkably different. My interest in the built environment was first noticed by my father, who took me on a road trip with multiple stops at Frank Lloyd Wright homes. In a trice, I was asking for drafting supplies at the local bookstore. Ten years later, I find myself prepared for professional design work with an expanding love for architecture.
