The Bauhaus is a Pasadena-based studio specializing in design and fabrication, focusing on architecture, ceramics, and furniture. Founded in 2023 by Joshua and Jacob, graduates of the University of Pennsylvania School of Design and Temple Tyler School of Art and Architecture respectively, The Bauhaus pays tribute to the Bauhaus Movement's avant-garde, interdisciplinary approach, which seamlessly integrated fine art, craftsmanship, and industrial design in the aughts of the early 20th century. Our mission is to transcend traditional boundaries, continuing the legacy of the original Bauhaus pioneers. We facilitate collaborations among artists, designers, and manufacturers to encourage innovative design techniques. We blend craftsmanship with local manufacturing and sustainable materiality strategies, guided by a distinctive design philosophy.
