Hello! I am Terry Hong.
As an architectural designer at Montalba Architects, a design-driven firm that creates innovative and inspiring environments, I collaborate with senior architects, associates, and ff&e specialists to deliver over 15 projects in the residential and commercial market sector, ranging from mansion to retail shopping mall. I create 3D visualizations for client exhibits, draw technical plans in different phases, and select sustainable materials to enhance the pleasant, sleek, and functional spatial experience connecting to nature.
I hold a master of interior design degree from Pratt Institute, where I developed my skills in design research, foundation knowledge of interior architecture. Previously, I worked at Legeard Studio in NYC, where I issued complete ID sets of six prestigious restaurants and three residential projects to A.O.R and consultants. My goal is to continue learning and growing as an architectural designer, and to contribute to the crafted and smart design solutions that respect uniqueness and connectivity. I am proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe suite, SketchUp, Enscape, 3d printing and Rhino.

At Legeard studio, my main responsibility is to develop design by delivering the concept presentation, design drawing sets, and FF&E schedules. I am capable of being involved in all phases of the design process, from schematic to construction, based on architectural knowledge, and detail-oriented craftsmanship. I have been working to bridge AOR and vendors, G.C., and diverse specialists to mobilize the project seamlessly. In this experience, key projects that I have been involved are KYU(NYC), Casa Carmen, La Grande Boucherie (Chicago & DC), Olio E Piu (Chicago & DC), Omakase (Chicago & DC), 30 Crosby (Soho), 473 Broadway st.
H-mart, Lyndhurst, NJ, US, Junior Interior Designer
As a Junior interior designer at H-Mart, I am involved in several new supermarket openings and old chains' renovation projects. I was mainly working on the “interior package,” including the floor plan, elevation, RCP, TV plan, millwork drawing, and fixture schedules. Depending on the H-mart store’s request, I worked on the production team’s drawings to build wood furniture. Other duties were to purchase material samples, grout, material, and necessary orders for the projects. For some private H mart projects, I created a design scheme board, developed the palette, and occasionally designed the new H mart building facade.
