I am trained to be an imaginative, productive, artistic interior designer. In my sense, good design is about having smartness, craftsmanship, empathy to be a good person. I am questioning how to strive toward a better experience and social impact that interior design could make.
H-mart, Lyndhurst, NJ, US, Junior Interior Designer
H-mart’s H-studio is an in-house integrated studio comprising advertisement, graphic, interior, and media teams. As a Junior interior designer, I am involved in several new opening and renovation projects. I was mainly working on the “interior package,” including floor plan, elevation, RCP, TV plan, millwork drawing, and fixture schedules. Depends on the H-mart store’s request, I worked on the production team’s drawings to build wood furniture. Other duties were to purchase material samples, grout, material, and necessary orders for the projects. For some private H mart projects, I created a design scheme board, developed the palette, and occasionally designed the new H mart building facade.
