I am a fifth-year Architecture student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Minor in Sustainable Environments.
Growing up in Puerto Rico and Southern California, I have always been drawn to nature and traveling and experiencing different cultures. This background encouraged me to participate in two extended education experiences through Cal Poly; one in Florence, Italy and one in San Francisco. I gained valuable, diverse education and work experience, which has inspired my current thesis research about urban design and quality of life in New York City.
I have always expressed my creativity through art and mixed media, and I continue to do so through architecture. In my personal projects, and in relation to my architectural interests, I enjoy exploring ceramic sculpture, painting, photography, and mixed media art. I am especially interested in materiality and sustainable application, commercial/public and residential work, city development and urban design.

I am graduating in 2022 with a BArch and a Sustainable Environments Minor. Through Cal Poly, my studies have been focused through a hands-on approach and technical lens.
I took a strong interest in furniture design and fabrication, competing in two competitions at Cal Poly, and being recognized for an award for one project.
My Sustainable Environments Minor was motivated by my passions for ecology, urban design, and sustainable building design. My thesis applies this thinking to the context of unused sites in New York City, and aims to use these spaces for public social and waste management programs.
