Suzanne Borderies is a NYC based architectural and interior designer bilingual in French and English, with experience in a variety of project types (hospitality, residential, retail). She graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture (Summa Cum Laude) in Spring 2019 from the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture at CCNY. Upon graduating she was hired by the company for which she had interned in college, Studio Sofield.
Suzanne has worked on various projects, including design for Tom Ford International retail stores, hospitality projects and private residences. On these projects she has worked both as an architectural designer and decorative designer, working on a range of tasks from interior elevations to sourcing furniture and materials, drafting millwork and custom furniture pieces, schematic design sketches and 3D modeling, establishing architectural lighting details as well as assisting with DD and SD sets, schedules (plumbing, appliance, materials, equipment), presenting to clients, materials research, etc.
Suzanne's education in architecture has helped with her interior design skills by fueling her close attention to detail, love of physical materials and ease with softwares such as AutoCad, Adobe Suite, Rhino, V-ray, Sketchup, Revit basics and web design. Furthermore, she wishes to obtain her Architecture licensure.
Beyond work experience, Suzanne has always had a visual arts background with hand drawing and painting, and a love for graphic design and digital collaging. This has given her a good understanding of how to visualize space, draw eyeballed perspectives, and create quick visuals that are easily understandable in explaining a concept.
