Guido Alvarez Joins Stevens & Wilkinson as Senior Electrical Engineer

Stevens & Wilkinson, a full-service commercial architecture, engineering and interior design firm based in Atlanta and Columbia, S.C., announced Guido Alvarez, PE, LEED AP, CxA, joined its staff as Senior Electrical Engineer. Prior to Stevens & Wilkinson, Alvarez held key positions with Florida Power and Light, Loucks Engineering, RCI Engineering, and Greenberg Farrow.  

Alvarez’s scope of responsibility with Stevens & Wilkinson includes serving as Electrical Commissioner and Senior Electrical Engineer. He possesses the CxA (Certified Commissioning Authority) designation, which involves the organizational, documentation, communications, and team-building skills required to manage and lead an effective commissioning team. Alvarez’s certification adds a new level of service to Stevens & Wilkinson’s areas of specialization and portfolio.

With 15 years’ experience in maintenance and supervising of existing power substations; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design; commissioning; LEED work; and department quality control, Alvarez has executed a wide range of design, construction and LEED projects. His project experience spans large retail and hospitality facilities; government roads and parks; corporate and medical offices; and mixed-use development buildings.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Energy Resources from the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo.
