My name is Sophia Urbaez.

Graduating from the University of Arizona with a NAAB Accredited Bachelor’s of Architecture, I have accumulated a broad range of experience and expertise in the design and construction industry over the last 4 years working in Phoenix, Arizona. I recently relocated to the Tri - State area for 2 years to work on LaGuaria Airport Terminal B Central Hall. I was blessed to get to briefly work for Foit Albert Associates - Architecture and Engineering on aviation projects such as LaGuardia Airport, Terminal B, DASNY DDSO projects, and various site / C.A. assessments.

My personal expertise lies in transforming ideas and sketches into design documentation, technical drawings and construction documents and clearly and productively managing a team. I am proficient in utilizing Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite. My talent shines in turning ideas and sketches into fully working set of construction documents. 

I have a heightened sense of self awareness and fast growing leadership skills due to my participation with NOMA Arizona as co-founder. I subsequently became, Vice President in 2020.

At present, I am back in Phoenix working to assist with Arizona’s affordable housing crisis and homeless population with Architectural Resource Team as Project Manager while pursuing licensure. 

Currently, I am working with the organization The Color Yellow assisting with providing food and clothing for the unhoused community in Phoenix, Arizona. Monthly, we create bags of food and snacks and clothing to donate to CASS and surrounding areas.
