LK CONSTRUCCIONES, Bogotá, JR architect Costs and budgets
I possess a strong aptitude for budgeting small and large-scale architectural projects. Recognizing the critical role that financial considerations play in the successful execution of any project, I am meticulous in my approach to cost management and resource allocation.
When it comes to budgeting, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the various factors that influence project costs. I am adept at conducting thorough research and analysis to determine the most suitable and cost-effective materials, equipment, and resources for each project. By carefully evaluating the available options, I strive to strike a balance between quality, functionality, and budgetary constraints, ensuring that the final design aligns with the client's vision while remaining economically feasible.
To facilitate accurate budgeting, I utilize industry-standard tools and software to estimate costs and track expenses throughout the project lifecycle. By maintaining a keen eye for detail, I am able to identify potential cost overruns or deviations from the allocated budget and take proactive measures to address them promptly. I am also experienced in collaborating with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to negotiate favorable pricing and secure competitive bids, ultimately optimizing project costs without compromising on quality or design integrity.

Converse Challenge, 1st Place
In November 2019, I had the honor of winning first place in the Sustainable Design Challenge held in Bogotá, Colombia. This prestigious award recognized my outstanding proposal for Converse, focusing on the implementation of a cradle-to-cradle approach to address in-stock waste.
My winning concept revolved around developing a comprehensive system that embraced the principles of circular economy and sustainability. By considering the entire lifecycle of Converse products, from production to disposal, I aimed to minimize waste generation and maximize resource efficiency. Drawing inspiration from the cradle-to-cradle philosophy, my proposal envisioned a closed-loop system where discarded materials from one product became valuable inputs for the creation of new products.
Through meticulous research and innovative thinking, I presented a well-defined plan that integrated sustainable materials, efficient manufacturing processes, and responsible waste management strategies. By utilizing renewable resources and designing for disassembly and recyclability, I proposed a groundbreaking model that aligned with Converse's commitment to environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
Receiving this award not only validated my expertise in sustainable design but also reinforced my dedication to creating solutions that address pressing environmental challenges. It served as a testament to my ability to think critically and creatively, pushing the boundaries of traditional design approaches to develop innovative strategies that prioritize the planet's well-being. Winning the Sustainable Design Challenge was a transformative experience, inspiring me to continue pursuing excellence in sustainable architecture and making a positive impact in the world through my design endeavors.
