With studying multiple global campuses of New York Tech and being a part of multiple design and management competitions and activities, I have a multicultural view in the same. My current passion is to learn more about Interiors, Furniture design, and Colour theory/sciences and would like to grow in these fields. My hobbies other than Interiors and Architecture include, learning new Cultures and Languages. Professionally, I would like to work and get some experience in interior design and architecture, and Management and in the future, get a PhD, researching about how colours help in design and psychology and potentially go into teaching and learning more about colour myself
New York Blood Center, Westbury, NY, US, Volunteer
I help the medical staff with blood drives and interact with donors before and after their whole blood, Double Red blood, and other blood product donations during blood drives to check if they feel good and healthy. This required training before I started and more special training during COVID-19 to ensure the safety of donors, staff, and volunteers. I have also volunteered at the Rockville Center, Massapequa and Lake Success donor centers. I have mainly worked with the canteen and handed out snacks to donors after donations.
As of March 2020, I completed 49 hours and 25 minutes of volunteering. Between April 2021 and December 2021, I have volunteered over 200 hours.
Between November 2021 and April 2022, I helped with organizing coupons which is a part of marketing in Nassau County and Suffolk County blood drives. Since April 2022, I have been helping in the NYBC Westbury office with adding Thank you tags.
With volunteering with the New York Blood Center, I have developed social, sales, marketing, and customer service skills.
As a SAHH volunteer, I help with registration of new donors and producing bar codes for new donors and existing donors, and also retrieving their existing information.
