Since childhood I have always been fascinated by two things: reading and cities.
In recent years I have come to understand the profound connection between these two very different experiences: both are spaces in which the individual must enter, turn, get lost and find a way out. Both have a construction, you must be able to discover a plot, a route and a solution, they are governed by a common soul: history.
Walking around the city makes me think, fall in love, and inspire me; it is an apparition, it is as if the time and the place were fixed, eternaly. This feeling is the same as I experience in the interior of historic buildings. The different stages of history that have contributed to the evolution of the building and its interior must be discovered to go to the future.
My name is Silvia Barberis and I am 26-years-old from Italy. I am currently working in Milan as an interior architect. During the last years, my courses and jobs have included both theoretical and practical areas of work. Your projects intrigues me. I have a real urge to grant my work aesthetic, social and ecological values. I like to design from the same eye level as the users. This for me seems to appear in your work too. I am hoping for a chance to get to be a part of your team and learn from the way you work.
I see myself as enthusiastic, honest and responsible and always up for a challenge. I am very flexible in terms of work-tasks and seeks a varied work that challenges me.
In my free time, I like to stay active as it helps my focus and mood. This can be all kind of activities but I especially like to read, photography, travel. I love vintage fashion and design.
Thank you for reading my cover letter. I hope you will look at my portfolio and hear from you for a deeper conversation.
