About

I'm a designer who loves using design as media to solve problems for people and invite more possibilities. I just graduated this May from Columbia University with the master of science advanced architectural design degree and actively looking for employment opportunities now!

School trained me to be a qualified architecture student. I'm skilled with various architectural design software, including Rhino, Processing, Sketch up, Vray, Enscape, Lumion, CAD, GIS, and Adobe Software suites such as PS, AI, ID, PR, and LR. I love telling stories through perspective drawings, mappings, and collages. Knowledge of HTML and VR interaction tools is also one of my advantages. During school, I had various courses regarding data mining, mapping, interaction tool, and coding courses. I have participated in website building and VR facility projects. Having worked at multiple design firms and participated in multidisciplinary projects, I'm familiar with the workflow of different disciplines and became accomplished in dealing with various people from clients, to construction teams, to the government.

Besides academic experience, I have been fortunate enough over the past few years to participate in various architectural practices. I have worked as an intern at leading architecture firm David Chipperfield Architects, helping the team in many aspects such as perfecting drawings, building models, collaborating with governments, etc. For example, during the city hall renovation projects, I undertook certain communication and corresponding work between the Huangpu district government and the firm. I also contributed to the exhibition's success in the government hall. The project I participated in during my internship has won their bidding and is now under construction in China. I also worked at CalisonRTKL company, where I participated in many commercial and competition projects, the largest of which was the Shanghai east station (TOD). This project has also won its bidding among other companies and has been in coordination with the Shanghai government.

Architecture is the physical expression of people within. These practices have not just equipped me with real-world design experience but also cultivated my inclination towards design that could impose positive impacts on society, changing environment, and create exceptional experiences for people.
