Greetings! I am Samantha Salas an interior designer from the Imperial Valley, I currently work for our local newspaper, Imperial Valley Press, as a marketing consultant and "home and garden" column writer that publishes bi-weekly. I have experience managing a high end furniture store, and assisting in design projects. I also worked as a visual designer for a 40,000 sq. ft. showroom in San Diego, and along the way I've picked up great communication skills, sales techniques, and have been very successful creating great professional relationships. In addition to my 8 to 5 job, I am a small home business owner, and I am trying to establish myself as an independent interior designer in my community.
As of now I hope to expand my professional network in order to accomplish my career goals. I want to see my career take me to different places, exploring various opportunities, and most importantly to learn from other artist and gain as much knowledge as I can. Design is a beautiful career that keeps on giving, and it is very important to stay updated with your surroundings, but like anything else, a strong foundation is essential, that is why I value the experience others have to offer.
