200' long mare motel with living quarters / foal watch / and office.  This barn was designed in consideration of 30 foals born per year and hosts 30 12 x 12 stalls with a central divider that folds back to create 15 12 x 24 foaling stalls.  The barn is placed 1000' away from the show barn in hopes to create a calm quiet environment for mares to foal out.  The barn is complimented by a presentation arena nestled between the barn and the thick treeline of the hill whose branches sky over the arena dropping the temperature significantly in the hot texas summers allowing the ability to present and turn out foals any time of day.  The office reaches out of the main building and into the trees on the west side of the building allowing for morning and evening light to filter through the branches and into the office which is enclosed by floor to ceiling glazing behind a 4' awning.
