SHED began in 1998 as design/build company under the motto "We design things and we make them." Over the past decade we have undertaken work across a broad range of disciplines, scales and project types: from the design and making of objects, furniture and buildings to the design of residential, commercial and historic rehabilitation projects. 

Although we no longer build all of our projects, we believe that our practical knowledge and experience distinguishes our design solutions, collaborations and services. We apply our experience, creativity and idealism in every project with the objective of realizing work of purpose, ingenuity and integrity.
