The site is located in the heart of downtown Syracuse, utilizing an existing building - the former Sibley’s Department Store - part of which is now home to the Hayner Hoyt Redhouse Theater and converting the building into SPACE +. We reuse and retrofit the Redhouse Theater building with the intention that it will be significantly altered to suit new program and spatial configurations. Our team defined the future of this site by providing office space, public amenities, and public space into the site that responds to covid-19 regulations and allows for social distancing.
