Ronan Bolaños is a registered architect based in Mexico and a Full Professor in the National Autonomous University of Mexico’s Faculty of Architecture (UNAM FA). His research interests are related to parametric and generative design in architecture, theory and technology applied in design and sustainable means for design and production.

He teaches design studio, parametric design, thesis seminars, and a special course for teachers on how to develop mixed education and distance education courses.

Ronan is the principal of the Laboratory of Architecture + Design through Technological Experimentation [LATE] and is responsible for the Program of courses under de same subject. Instances related to education on applied technology.

Ronan holds a Doctorate in Architecture cum laude from UPC Barcelona Tech in 2008, and a Bachelor in Architecture graduated with honors from UNAM Faculty of Architecture in 2001. Has participated in different academic networks such as Association for Computer Aided Design in Architecture (ACADIA), Asociación de Instituciones de Educación en Arquitectura (ASINEA) has been a member of the National Systems of Researchers (SNI) of CONACyT in Mexico.

He has participated as lecturer in America, Asia and Europe, has produced 15 articles, 5 book chapters and 1 book. And he is the 2017 Laureate of the Recognition: National University Distinction for young Academics, in Architecture and Design category.

Has worked with architecture offices from three continents and develops projects with his partner through Bolaños Boo architects firm since 2008.
