I am a graduate student of Thomas Jefferson University majoring in Construction Management and currently doing Co-op with Amtrak in their construction Project Management Department as an Assistant construction project manager.
Through my coursework, I have completed courses like estimation, risk management, safety standards, financing, construction law, building information modeling, etc. Apart from the core courses, I have a deep interest in sustainable construction and therefore took courses for the same, wherein I learned Life cycle assessment of building and materials. Also, I took OSHA 30 HR safety certification and Construction Management in Training (CMIT) certification. Past summer semester I spent my time volunteering with a non-profit organization for children
and elderly people wherein, I took classes for mathematics and science of Junior School students. I also volunteered for Humans for Habitat, North Philadelphia wherein low-cost houses were being built for homeless. This experience has braced my communication skills and established my belief that my motivation shoots up when my work supports a good cause.
