My journey started through a couple of humble job shadowing/intern days where I did not only discover my passion for architecture, but was also the start of developing crucial skills and abilities which will carry well over into my career. This experience showed me the function and gears of an architecture firm, from creating and approval of construction documentation to the all-important client meetings.
My experience then only grew during my undergraduate studies where I graduated from the University of Pretoria and acquired my BScArch as one of the top 10 students in my group. Simultaneously I continued to work on my people skills as a shop assistant.
As my accomplishments show, I am proud of the work that I do. I also believe my passion for the field and personal character should shine through every task.
I possess excellent computer and technical skills with advanced knowledge of the latest versions of AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Lumino, and Revit. I make it a point to stay current and improve as much as possible within the field.
I am extremely detail-oriented and have strong problem-solving skills that enable me to become one of the top students in my class from grade twelve up to graduation, as shown in my attached resume. I am willing and able to work long hours to meet a deadline and thrive under pressure. I am intensely ambitious in my career goals and objectives, which strives me to be the best in all I set my mind on.
I believe I could swiftly surpass your expectations. I look forward to discussing this opportunity and what I can offer you in detail.
