Green building solutions , workshop and a summer school held in Vienna with 5 Austrian universities (-TU WIEN: Vienna University of Technology -BOKU: University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna -DONAU University Krems -AIT: Austrian Institute of Technology -WU University of Economics and Business Vienna) bundled in a three week program in the capital of energy efficient building Vienna , a course which equals to 7 ECTS in sustainability in building and urban planning , the principles of passive house planning , renewable energies and business concepts and a project submitted for a renovation of an old house.
In terms of a holistic approach the program is divided in three modules, each focusing on one specific topic and lasting for one week:
Module 1 – Sustainability in Building and Urban Planning.
Module 2 – Principles of Passivhaus planning
Module 3 – Renewable Energies and Business Concepts.
In terms of planning goals these assessment categories was integrated in the final project work: Renovate and optimize a low-rise apartment building in Vienna.
