RWH Architect provided full design services for a new 2,100 sf restaurant in Methuen, MA.
After the former Common Grounds Café had an electrical fire, the owners used the casualty as an opportunity to start a new era in their family-run business.
Limited to the same footprint as Common Grounds, RWH Architect had the challenge of designing a fully functioning kitchen into a place that once held a coffee shop and lottery counters.
RWH also accommodated the owners’ strict timeline and careful coordination with the local Conversation Committee.
Pica’s Pub and Grill’s doors opened on December 23, 2017 and showcased seven timber trusses spanning the restaurant. A custom 17 seat bar anchors the 48-seat eatery. Stained concrete floor and custom stone work encase the space.
