This project is to explore the influence of natural light to create a poetic interior space.
It is an art gallery sited by Lake Alice on the campus of University of Florida. The project is supposed to
respond to the natural elements such as water and vegetation with its gesture and the language of Opaque and Transparency. The spirit of poeticism comes from the interaction of natural light and shadows.
Concept: The gallery is like a piece of leaf floating on the water, giving shade to the cuboid gallery underneath. The opaque gallery is for the art; the transparent canopy is for the natural context.
