I am Qing Tang.

I am Qing Tang who just graduated from Bartlet March. I study architecture for two years

in China and then transfer to Ohio State University(US) for a bachelor’s degree in landscape

architecture. I am so interested in your company and would be love to hear from

you if I would have any chance to join the firm.

I first studied two years of architecture in China and then transferred to Ohio State University

to study landscape architecture. So I am sensitive about the local changes and

the space created in the design and what it can bring people. I am also confident of my

creativity and energy that is a need for the design work.

After graduation from Ohio State University, I decided to go beyond my major and my

undergraduate country America to see other parts of the Design world. So I applied to

the March program at Bartlet and finished my whole year of study in Architecture in 2021.

I am always a person that seeks change and experience and is prepared to try a different

approach and style that could be involved in the design process. So during the study

process, I push myself to try different ideas in design. While I have an internship in Xi

An, one of the historical cities in China, I managed to design a small park on my own,

which was also shown in the portfolio.

Then the next month, I attend the summer class at Harvard GSD and confirm the decision

to explore another part of the design as an architect. I managed to complete a

design minor in college as well to have a better understanding of the whole design field.

A classmate once said that I am the Mitochondria of the studio because I am energetic

and the powerhouse of the cell. Because of my outgoing personality, I have been president

of the student council since middle school. I am confident to say that I will be the

outstanding one among Other Designers.

I am confident that I can bring studio something new and also ready for any challenges

that might occur in the working period. I am prepared to learn anything

new at all times.

I also believe that my background perfectly fits the firm of its ambition to bridge

the communication space inside and outside,from architecture to landscape.

I am looking forward to joining the firm.
