modular dormitory

The main purpose of this project is to create a compact and convenient housing for students, which will be composed of modules and have an expressive architecture.

102 rooms, including 16 double rooms and 86 single roomswere designed for students` habitation. Each floor has a laundry room, a kitchen and a space for collective studying and communication with access to a common balcony. In my opinion, the creation of such spaces is a very important element in the learning process.

The project also takes into account such trend as engaging students in eco-technologies:environmentally friendly materials are used in the decoration (such as wood panels, glass), using of bicycles are also encouraged(convenient places to store them were created for this purpose). This building is supposed to be filled with energy-efficient engineering systems too.

The building is constructed of a combination of modules. For living units are used three types of modules (single compact one with a balcony, a spacious single module without a balcony, a double module). The special module type is designed to accommodate the stairs, kitchen, a laundry and space for collective studying.
