I am very influenced by my interior design projects, and often use them as a vehicle to explore and find new materials to work with in my personal work. I am a sucker for a good backstory, and also love the
experience of obtaining whatever i'm looking for. I would rather dig through a basement of a salvage yard and make friends with the hermit running the shop than be behind a computer...what makes a better story in the end? I am also lucky enough to have clients that give me the space to work and create in this way. There is nothing better than seeing a piece I made in someone's space, and then telling them the backstory over wine."
