Through the initiative and support of its President, Pat Scanlon, the GEORGE H. SCANLON FOUNDATION has generously funded an annual George H. Scanlon Foundation Lecture since 1998. The George H. Scanlon Foundation Lecture REDUX.2 celebrates this enduring and successful 16-year lecture series by featuring its second lecturer, ELIZABETH DILLER, who will present and compare the work of DILLER SCOFIDIO + RENFRO (formerly Diller + Scofidio) between1999 and 2014.

ELIZABETH DILLER is a founding principal of DILLER SCOFIDIO + RENFRO (DS+R), an interdisciplinary design studio that integrates architecture, the visual arts, and the performing arts. DS+R’s architectural projects include: the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts expansion and redesign; the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston; the High Line in New York; Blur in Switzerland; the Broad Museum in Los Angeles; the Museum of Image and Sound in Rio de Janeiro; the Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive at UC Berkeley; and Culture Shed in the Hudson Yards Development in New York. Ms. Diller has received the MacArthur Foundation ‘genius’ award and the Barnard Medal of Distinction. She is an Aspen Institute Harman-Eisner Artist in Residence, a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and a fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects. DS+R has received the National Design Award, the Brunner Prize, the Centennial Medal of Honor from the American Academy in Rome, and numerous AIA awards. In 2003, the Whitney Museum of American Art held a retrospective of the studio’s work, recognizing DS+R’s unorthodox practice. Ms. Diller is a Professor of Architecture at Princeton University.

Self parking is recommended at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, located 1 block north of the Museum on Grand Avenue. Parking is a flat rate of $9/car after 5 PM
