Refining and testing innovative, community-friendly engagement, urban design tools that will support the approval and implementation of the community-sponsored LES and Chinatown Waterfront District in Manhattan.

Conducting workshops with the community members to better understand their needs and conceptualizing schematic parametric design proposals for Community Land Trusts.

Architecture practice that amalgamated contextual, climate responsive and sustainable design with 10 completed projects. Key projects include: Orbit Park (47,000 SqFt), which is a community park designed to augment interaction and self-sufficiency for the neighborhood; Singhvi Office (5,900 SqFt), envisioned using local materials, styles and craftsmanship.

Conceptualized and designed 10 projects from their ideation to their completion.

Provided complete architecture services including schematic design development, construction documents, assistance with contractor bid management and construction management.

Collaborated with clients, vendors, technical consultants, and local craftsmen and communities.

A. Mridul Architect, Jodhpur City, IN, Junior Architect

Enhanced understanding of climate responsive, sustainable, contextual and vernacular architecture. Keyprojects include: reviving ancient stepwells,: redevelopment of Umaid Udyan, (1,403,344 SqFt), a large public park, which used to house a zoo and a public library, maintaining its historicity and optimizing it through adaptive reuse.

Worked on the concept and design development of a number of projects ranging from museums and adaptive re-use of parks to affordable housing units and hotels.

Researched, documented and worked towards the revival of 6 defunct ancient stepwells for conservation and rejuvenation as water storage systems and cultural landscapes.

Undertook an in-depth study of the current global water crisis and its implication on urban areas and its population to inform new projects.

Worked on facade designs with the local Jodhpur sandstone and prepared construction drawings for several projects

Managed multiple vendors, regularly oversaw constructions sites and developed and maintained client relationships

Conceptualized and designed an intrinsic network of clusters, streets, open spaces and built form in dialogue with the topography and intricately connected with water bodies and green spaces for an urban streetscape

Handled core responsibilities including concept and design development, and project management, collaborating with teammates and technical consultants.

Planned university campuses, hotels, restaurants, and luxury residences.

Led clients and vendor meetings and worked on shop drawings for several projects

Designed a hybridized superblock to improve NYC’s capacity to absorb the pressures of global warming and urbanization; reimagined public spaces by exploring the possibility of carbon sequestration to develop monolithic carbon landscapes; researched the link between urban density and the spread of diseases like Covid-19 and recommended scalable architectural and urban design strategies.
