Architecture | Arndt Tkalcic Bengert, Edmonton, AB, CA, Intern Architect
I was responsible, as part of a team, to produce representation and technical documentation using various CAD software including Autodesk's Autocad and Revit, as well as extensive use of Adobe's Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I had the opportunity to design and manage small projects. I was successfully involved in client, contractor, and consultant meetings, as well as, the on-site management of projects.

I was responsible for planning and coordinating the work between job sites and the factory. Daily task included, but not limited to, taking field measurements, sitting in on job site meetings, taking down quantities for material purchases, scheduling work and deliveries.

Realisations Inc. is a company that specializes in scenography.More specifically interactive scenography. I was responsible for developing the CAD documentation (technical and presentation) to accompany project pitches or building packages.
Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS, CA, MArch, Architecture
Dalhousie has a design based curriculum. As such, I was required to develop two design projects for each of the first two semesters of the MArch program: a public library and a neutral gathering place for Canadians, Americans and First Nations. Along with these semester, 1,000 hours of work experience in an architecture or engineering office were to be obtained. I gained my experience at the offices of KPMB Architects in Toronto. After returning from this work term, a design thesis was executed on the subject of better housing within urban cores.
Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS, CA, BArch, Architecture
Dalhousie has a design based curriculum. As such, I was required to develop multiple design project for each of the 4 semesters at school: a room on a fictitious site, a pavilion on the Halifax harbour for the Blue Nose tallship, a cabin on a fictitious site, a house in suburban Halifax, a community theatre and an art gallery on the Halifax harbour. All project are required to be represented at the scale of city, site, building and detail using drawings and physical models. Along with these 4 semester, one semester was required to acquire work experience in an architecture or engineering office. I gained my experience for this first work term at WHW Architects in Halifax.
