Transect Study

J.F.K. Boulevard  visually connects to other parts of Philadelphia through the breakdown of constructed volume. On the transect one can visually view other buildings, and extensions of surrounding neighborhoods. A unique relationship we found was how there are certain points where one can see through the transect blocks to other building without necessarily standing at the intersections. Our analysis of where people are coming from, neighborhoods transportation and views constitutes how the J.F.K. transect does not have a closed off identity to the rest of the city.
