Marine Biology Laboratory in Boston

This was a semester long Integrated Design Development Project done in collaboration with Vivian Mok. We designed a Marine Biology Laboratory that works in coordination with the existing Boston Aquarium, seeking to educate the community on the marine life in the Boston Harbour and encourage them to get ivolved in improving on its current condition. The building consists of a private wing that contains laboratories, offices, lounges for the scientists, and storage; a public wing that consists of a lecture hall, research library open to the public, and a community gallery where both the community and scientists can exhibit their own projects; and a shared program massing containing a raised aquarium tank which is hugged by both the public and private wings.
