Hi!
My name is Maria Gabriela Carucci, a Brooklyn based Venezuelan-born Architectural Designer. I hold a Bachelor of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and for the past two years, I was an Intern Architect at Robert A.M. Stern (RAMSA). At RAMSA I focused on residential, hospitality, commercial, and adaptive reuse projects, and participated and led projects at a variety of design phases, from initial Schematic Design layouts to Construction Documents and Administration. I have a combined 3 years of professional experience, having interned with Gensler, Friedrich St. Florian, and a Venezuelan architecture non-profit, Tracing Public Spaces.
Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA), New York, NY, US, Intern Architect
Worked on five national and international projects that encompassed a variety of types and programs; residential, commercial, hospitality and adaptive reuse. My time at RAMSA allowed me to gain first-hand experience in leading contextual and historical research, developing Concept and Schematic designs, as well as the creation of Design Development and Construction Drawing sets. This also led to the opportunity of working through the Construction Administration process of one of the projects.
Friedrich St. Florian Architects, Providence, RI, US, Intern
Assisted him in the Schematic design for a proposal for the American Farm Museum, in Michigan.
Gensler, Boston, MA, US, Intern
Worked on Concept and Schematic design proposals for civic and commercial projects, including General Electric’s HQ and the re-design of City Hall Plaza, which was later presented to the client, Delaware North.
Tracing Public Spaces, NGO, Caracas, VE, Fellow
Led design co-creation sessions with children and community leaders in under-served sectors of Caracas. These sessions led to the design of public spaces to serve as launchpads for communal wellbeing.
Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Providence, RI, US, BArch, Architecture
Graduated with two degrees, a Bachelors in Architecture and a Bachelors of Fine Arts. Completed a concentration in Nature, Culture and Sustainability Studies.
