Organized by the AUS Office of Research and Graduate Studies and sponsored by Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) and BP UAE, the annual awards recognize the top undergraduate student research projects at AUS.
The selection committee evaluated each project according to communication and presentation, completeness of application, depth of research and investigation, and innovation as well as creativity.
Merit Award-Student Graduation Project Category-AIA Middle East Design Awards, 1st Place
Completed in the summer of 2015, the AVM Pavilion led by Assistant Professor Kenneth Tracy won a Merit Award in the Student Graduation Project Category at the AIA Middle East Design Awards. Serving as the manifestation of a year-long option studio, the jury "praise(d)" the student's design process and the "quality of the end product."
