Participant in a two week intensive design workshop with the Federal University of Pernambuco in Recife, Brazil. Design investigations tested mobility, housing, and productivity interventions to urbanize and protect informal settlements within a particularly flood prone area of Recife. The proposals were presented for discussion in a major debate with representatives of the existing citizens’ groups, architects and planners, officials from the City, and officials from the Federal Ministry for Cities.
