Nourain, an Arabic word that means The Two Lights which was inspired by the two sacred testimonies every Muslim must recite to be part of the religion. The main concept of the mosque is reflected in the geometry in which the hand of God is open and welcoming visitors (Ablution Area). The Foyer symbolizes the hand of God being semi-closed with a series of Islamic-era Andalusian parabolic arches making it the central area of the building. The main Prayer Hall reference the hand of God being completely closed and encompassing the devotees.  

 The overall Aura of project is meant to evoke a feeling of a cave-like structure in reference to the Cave of Hira where it is believed The first revelations of the Quran took place.
