About

I am Luca Camagni, an Italian guy who recently graduated with a Master’s Degree in Architecture Built Environment - Interiors from Politecnico di Milano with a final grade of 103 out of 110.

During my time at Politecnico di Milano, I have also gained valuable professional experience working as an architect in various locations including Italy, Sri Lanka, and USA.

My most significant professional experience was at o2Architecture, led by Lance O'Donnell, located in the desert of Palm Springs. During my time there, I acquired important architectural values, gained insight into the practice of architecture in the USA, and worked on projects including luxury private residences, hotels, and residential complexe

I believe these experiences have been an asset, improving my conversational, technical and architectural skills. Working in diverse architectural settings across different countries has broadened my perspective and enhanced my ability to adapt to varying project demands and cultural contexts. This exposure has not only refined my design sensibilities but also strengthened my communication and problem-solving abilities within the architectural field.

I have recently been working as a freelancer at an architecture firm in Como, Italy, in the role of architect, working on major projects such as Hotel Villa Passalacqua, Hotel Sheraton, Grand Hotel Tremezzo and private residences on Lake Como.

My goal is to work in the same field that I've been working in untill now, the US offers a great opportunity to work in this, and I'm as ready as ever to work hard and give my all to the experience that awaits me.

Education

Politecnico di Milano, Milano, IT, MArch, Interior Built Environment Architecture

The educational path of the Programme "Architecture - Built Environment - Interiors" provides advanced training in the field of Architectural Design with the aim to graduate practitioners able to change and to transform the built environment in its physical, architectural and landscape elements, empowering architectural resilience and affordance. The focus is on the modification and the regeneration of urban fabric, as well as of fragile territories, on interventions of building extensions and transformation, restoration and enhancement. The programme offers the possibility to characterize the study plan according to personal interests by choosing, besides the compulsory courses, a large number of elective thematic Design Studios. The courses have been conceived to ensure a correct balance among theoretical, practical and applicative aspects, by integrating in the design process the necessary requirements of feasibility and environmental, economic and social sustainability. Furthermore, specific courses aimed at providing advanced knowledge on Computation Design are available during all the two year-programme.
