Architecture has been a passion for me since my high school years. This however happened by accident. I attended a trade high school, and was chosen to be part of the architectural trade. Prior to this I had no knowledge of the trade. Couple of weeks into the classes and I was hooked. Fast forward past my high school years, I decided to stick with architecture. I attended SUNY Delhi, where I obtained my bachelors in architecture, as well an associates degree in construction management. At SUNY Delhi they groomed the architectural students not only to know how to design a building, but also provided some engineering and construction courses. Some courses even led to earning certification. For example the OSHA class, which at the end gave the student a shot at earning the OSHA 30-Hour Construction safety and health certification, provided they passed the exam. This has helped me tremendously in being able to understand the building process, and producing designs that were not just beautiful, but also innovative and feasible. Throughout my years at SUNY Delhi I was fortunate to gain some experience in the field which led to a full time position right after my graduation. Now I am looking forward to gaining more knowledge and experience as I continue my career.
