My name is Kazi. About 6 months ago, I graduated from NYU with a degree in Sustainable Urban Environments. Sustainability and 'greenery' were something that I was always interested in, and had the mindset for making the environment that way. In my free time, I like to explore new places, play sports, rollerblade, watch movies, and try to be as productive as much as possible. I am currently a part-time Compost Coordinator for GrowNYC. I really like where I work, but as far as taking it up a level goes, that's something I wish to attain.
GrowNYC, Chambers Street, Compost Coordinator
I work at greenmarkets and answer any inquiries anyone has in rgeard to how to drop off their food scraps at a GrowNYC site or the one where I am working. At time, I also work at other compost sites to help out with converting food scraps to compost.
New York University (NYU), Polytechnic School of Engineering, Bachelors, Sustainable Urban Environments
I was a student majoring in Sustainable Urban Environments. I took classes about infrasturucture, sustainability and civil engineering. All those courses had me thinking differently on how the world works and how things are done. If I were to go back 5 years, I would definitely take Sustainable Urban Environments again, or even Civil Engineering.
