The URBANshed International Design Competition challenged designers to re-think the current sidewalk shed standard while improving the pedestrian experience.  LightFRAME does this in three ways:

- Light-refracting: lightFRAME is translucent to maximize natural light to sidewalk.

- Light-weight: lightFRAME is lightweight for ease of transport and construction.

- Light-filled: lightFRAME is embedded with LED lighting for nighttime luminosity.
