Jenny Sabin Lab, New York, NY, US, Manager & Sr Researcher
Lead research in computational design, data analysis, and digital fabrication with an interdisciplinary approach.
• Thesis research: Developed and engineered a computational design process for responsive structures inspired by heart tissue
biomechanics. Created adaptive 3D-printed structures using homemade toolpaths, customized G-code, 4D printing, and additive manufacturing. Executed with Rhino3D and Grasshopper, utilizing cellulose-based filaments, PLA and TPU these bioinspired geometries can achieve complex, environmentally responsive deformation.
• Research at the Butcher Lab (Biomedical engineering Lab Cornell university): This study integrates biomedical engineering
with architecture to analyze chicken heart tissue using advanced technologies, creating a framework for understanding
cellular dynamics and the impact of architectural technology in biomedical research.
EMBT, Barcelona, ES, Junior architect
Participated in over 15 competitions for universities, theaters, and neighborhoods in China and Europe such as Platz
Strandhöft, Westliche Hafencity, Hamburg, and Century Square renewal in East Nanjing, Shanghai.
• Involved the decision-making processes from concept, design, to planning for large-scale projects for urban development,
worth billions of Yuan requesting the construction of thousands of square meters while managing project follow-ups.
