I have now finished my last year and graduated from SCAD. Reflecting on my last four years, I feel I have had a successful educational career. It  has helped me develop character and personality traits that made me grow as a person and as a designer. As a member of the RAD (Radical Architecture Discourse) club, I have had the chance to take part in architectural competitions which required teamwork and many after hours. I learned how different perspectives, personalities and skills can be combined to create wonderful outcomes. Alongside my architectural studies, I have also been a part of the SCAD Men’s Golf Team since freshman year. My life as a student-athlete has demanded from me strong time management as well as organizational and disciplinary skills.

Although I have had to make many sacrifices in order to maintain my athletic and academic accomplishments, I never regretted staying up all night, working alongside my peers and then heading straight to an early morning golf practice. I was proud to be among the Dean’s List throughout my eleven quarters at SCAD. In 2019 I won the Daktronics NAIA All-American academic athlete award and some of my work has been chosen for in-campus expositions. 

 I have had to sacrifice many things in order to make time for my priorities. Even if it meant going from my all-night studio workspace straight to morning golf practice. I have been presented with the Dean’s List award throughout my eleven quarters at SCAD. In 2019 I won the Daktronics NAIA All-American academic athlete award and some of my work has been chosen for in-campus expositions. 

In my freshman and sophomore years, I had the chance to learn and experience how architecture as a profession functions by working as an intern at the Latin American award-winning firm Diez-Muller Arquitectos. During my time as an intern I worked through the many design phases of residential and commercial buildings in three different countries ( Ecuador, United States, Nicaragua). In my junior year, I received the opportunity to work for the renowned urban and landscape design firm EDSA, inc. Throughout the three months that I worked there I learned from many talented designers and worked on large scale projects all over the world, including the Four Seasons Okinawa (Japan) in partnership with Kengo Kuma Architects.
