My architectural perspective is deeply rooted in diverse identities that have shaped my creative journey. Growing up in post-apartheid South Africa, navigating the aftermath of displacement, and being born into a city marked by racial divisions compelled me to explore spatial design well before my formal training. These formative experiences have not only influenced my approach as an architect but have propelled me to connect with architecture in a meaningful and impactful way.
Drawing inspiration from my varied interests in drawing, photography, film, and literature, I bring a multidirectional approach to my architectural endeavors. This blend of creative pursuits enables me to approach design with a non-linear methodology, providing me with the versatile tools necessary for innovation in both design and creation and communication.
My engagement with architectural and urban design thinking is not merely professional but deeply personal, allowing me to grasp the transformative impact of spatial design comprehensively. Guided by these principles and fueled by creative energy, I am dedicated to pursuing a career in architecture, aspiring to continual growth and learning as my identity as an architect evolves.
