With the proliferation of digital media, people no longer utilize hard copies as a mean of knowledge pursuit. The library project is looking to use the concept of gathering space to work as a place for interaction. Thus the design of this contemporary library is approached with an orthodox arrangement of spaces that reflect the contemporary needs of society.
The contemporary library needs of program has been diverse. It can no longer act as a passive repository space that only provides information. The library itself need to be an space that encourage information exchange. Thus the program can be categorize into two: space that encourage activity and space that provides activity
