This is my final project from my second studio in architecture. My concept is to use architecture as a means of interpersonal communication. I executed this by designating a specific space below the ground level, which is strictly designed for social use. In this space, I have designated a recreational room below as well which will include games such as air hockey and pool. I envision that those who attend APCH will get to know one another through interaction and not simply go about their day minding their own business.
For the facade, I manipulated the original APCH logo to come up with a design for the face of my model. I added tinted glass with the colors of the core values placed in the original logo. This facade should act as a reminder to those who attend the original logo; specifically the core values. It should also remind them that these core values are what bring people together and that we should strive to work and improve on them every single day.
There are four different buildings that serve as different wings in this entire space: office wing, studio wing, education wing, and leisure wing. Within these different wings, one will find spaces that fit under the category of that wing.
