This studio project involved designing a sustainable Buddhist Monastery for a local group of monks. By utilizing passive & active strategies, I was able to make the building completely self-sustaining. It was a challenge to create an environment that embodied Buddhist beliefs, modern traditions, and Midwestern lifestyles.
