Jacoby Architects designed this new Academic Building as the first phase of a 100-year campus build-out of the Utah State University Brigham City Regional Campus.
This project includes a multi-winged, two story building as well as parking, site work and landscaping. The 50,000 Square foot, $12.25 million building includes a multi-purpose space, a 150-person lecture hall, various classrooms, offices and study spaces.
Taking reference from the historic Lake Bonneville shorelines, adjacent mountain profile, and the agricultural heritage of the community; the language and layering of the building is designed to create a new icon and landmark for the Brigham City Community as well as a new academic satellite to Utah State University.
With the goal of creating an entire campus with a single building; each of the four building wings is arranged around the towering central exoskeleton structure to create four distinct exterior plazas, and four distinct building entrances.
